What a year it has been! So many events postponed, so many lives affected.
What a relief it was for me when Jane & Andrew decided they weren't going to let a global pandemic stop them from getting married!
Jane's big day was meant to have taken place at Winton Castle but because of the pandemic it obviously couldn't go ahead there. Luckily Jane's parents house provided a beautiful venue for their very intimate wedding.
Jane & Andrew are from across the pond so I got to capture a lovely take on a first look...
The family had made plans for social distancing, including providing me with my own restroom to use. All precautions taken to ensure everything went off without a hitch and keeping everyone safe.
After the ceremony we captured some portraits, including popping down to the shore..
This was my first lockdown wedding and whilst I can't deny it felt a little strange, it was wonderful to be a small part of. If weddings at their core are about intimacy and a connection between people, then this wedding (and all the others going on during the pandemic) absolutely triumphed.
