It's the most wonderful time of the year the song says and a wedding just adds even more magic to the season!
Kathryn & Alistair tied the knot on Christmas Eve's, eve (as my kids would call it). The 23rd of December 2020.
With another pandemic lockdown fast approaching the couple managed to gather with their closest family and friends to celebrate their marriage.
Getting married in the spring, summer or even autumn you hope for some sunshine or maybe even just a dry day! In winter you know it's a lottery but in Scotland you've every chance of favourable conditions.
At Balbirnie House there are several locations for a bride (or groom) to get ready but my favourite has to be the dual aspect prep room.
It's a wonderful room for getting ready photos as well as the emotional moments
Then onto the ceremony
There's a warmth to the light at Christmas time that I don't think exists any other time of the year.
