One of the oldest established and highest quality country house hotels in Scotland, Rufflets St Andrews is without doubt amongst the finest wedding venues in Fife. Rufflets is delighted to have been twice awarded the accolade of Best Wedding Venue Fife, Angus and Perthshire at both the 2017 and 2018 Scottish VOWS awards – awards that are solely voted by brides and grooms from the previous year.

Rufflets has a USP that most other venues don't, you can tell what season it is just by seeing the ivy. With gardens surrounding the house, fields to the front and a gorgeous wee bridge to the rear it fits my style of wedding photography perfectly.

The hotel can be found just outside St Andrews, following the B939 it's only about a 7 min drive from St Andrews town centre.

Rufflets has a real country house feel to it. Not that it lacks modern comforts, it doesn't. It's just that the main building itself has a lot of character and warmth to it that it immediately brings to mind lazy Sunday lunches and pleasant afternoons. As a wedding venue it excels though.

If you're getting married at Rufflets, or even just considering it for your venue, I'd love to hear from you. Get in touch if you have any questions about how the venue works from a photography point of view or if you have any questions in general.

All of the weddings I have photographed at Rufflets have been mainly held in the modern extension but you can also have your wedding in the wonderful gardens.

After the ceremony there are so many options for photographs...

The gardens

and of course the hotel itself...

Because the gardens are so varied and close to the reception, it's genuinely quick and easy to pop outside for photographs...
